Join new incoming Wolverines at Wolverine Welcome Day to celebrate the start of the school year! Wolverine Welcome Day (formerly known as Go Blue Orientation Day & Convocation) is an opportunity for you to explore campus, meet your peers, and get an introduction to campus life at the University of Michigan - Dearborn.
This day-long experience will take place on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and it will be an event that you don’t want to miss!
Throughout the day, you can expect to attend engaging workshop sessions, networking with your peers and students clubs and organizations and get lots of SWAG! There will also be food, outdoor activities and games, and a spirit squad to get you pumped about the upcoming academic year!
Immediately following Wolverine Welcome Day is the Go Blue Bash, which is an opportunity for new and returning students to connect with student organizations, campus resources/services, and community partners. Go Blue Bash will occur from 3:00 - 6:00 PM.
COVID safety information
All University of Michigan-Dearborn students, faculty and staff are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Individuals must have completed, or received at least the initial dose of, the COVID-19 vaccination and submit their proof of vaccination to U-M no later than August 30, 2021. Wolverine Welcome participants must complete this process in order to attend the event. For more information and to learn how to submit your status visit umdearborn.edu/covidvaccines.
Participants should be prepared to wear face coverings throughout the day while indoors.

This workshop will introduce you to the four pillars of financial wellness, and provide you with a blueprint for establishing healthy financial habits. We will cover the essentials of money management and establishing credit, and help you avoid some of those common money mistakes that can be expensive. Core topics: The importance of using a monthly spending plan, How to establish credit and build a high credit score, Common money mistakes to avoid, & Tips on how to avoid financial scams.
The Covid-19 pandemic has challenged us all and has changed many aspects of our daily life. In this session, we will discuss methods to manage anxiety and increase our flexibility as we create a new normal and navigate the ever changing environment.
A panel of students from the four colleges at UM-Dearborn will share examples of opportunities to reinforce your classroom learning via experiential learning a.k.a. “Learning by Doing”. Such opportunities include participation in national and international student competition teams, community and civic engagement groups and organizations, and research experiences for undergraduates.
Starting fresh at a new university is exciting, nerve-racking, and all sorts of other feelings. Join this session led by upper level students to learn how you can make the most out of your first year at UM-Dearborn by making new friends, getting involved with student orgs, connecting with mentors, learning tips and tricks for success and finding ways to get engaged within student life on campus!

Topics also include accessing the M-Google suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Dropbox cloud storage, and Office 365 available for free to all U-M students.

Join this session to explore important first steps for efficient studying, effective learning, and overall academic success this fall.
This program will introduce students to several methods of managing the multiple transitions and stressors that accompany these changes. Tips and tricks will be given on how to navigate daily stress and time management using a wellness approach shown to help with student success!
